in the rich wilds...

In the rich wilds of Never Never Land
Where wishes and visions are fanned
She touched thoughts old souls had brought her
Dancing cappuccino bracelets of water

Streets were busy with floral kind
Travel was simply a flick of the mind
She knew thoughts old souls had taught her
Dancing cappuccino bracelets of water

Willows wept happiness by streams
Sacred, surreal dreams
She lived thoughts till old souls sought her
Dancing cappuccino bracelets of water

In the rich wilds of Never Never Land
Dancing cappuccino bracelets of water

love the poem and the strong phrases that repeat

I like the juxtaposition of the fantastic (Never Land) with the mundane (cappuccinos). The repetition of the line as well as the form also suggest a sort of magical realism feel which is really nice.

Oh my, first of all kudos for mastering such and intricate poetic form. Secondly, this is a beautiful poem. Even the sweetest memories come with a bit of melancholy. I love the repetition of "dancing cappuccino bracelets in water." Thank you so much for writing and sharing you poem in the garden.

This is so beautiful, Gemma, and you rocked the form.

I adore your use of a kyrielle here. The repetitions drive it. "bracelets of water" oh wow, I think my physical mouth slowly slackened as that sank in, I know my mental one did. Beautifully done.

Very nice work with the form--and beyond that, a fine poem which sings rather tells its story. I am seeing all kinds of froth here, swirling in those lovely refrain lines.
