love after love...

the time will come

you will love

 the special you

I am not
in our streets we wandered yesterday

I am not the door
the window
that was our home

I am not the chair
that devotedly sat beside you

I am not the pillow
that shared our love

for I am not there
you are not there
as we were

we have moved on
into higher realms

for now

we are
your door
your window

the streets you walk
your pillow

for you take me there

for the mirror
and you will see me

the time will come
you will love

for Rosemary...

Beautiful. A lot of love and loss in one poem. Made me emotional.

pretty cool message in your verse....for me it made me think of learning to love yourself before you can really love could be about loss...or even finding yourself again after and learning love again...easy to feel though...smiles.

How wonderfully you depict the furling and unfurling in this poem, there and not there, but seeing the smile and showing your own. Marvelous poetry. From the heart.
