sands burned and
seas cooled
holiday feet
now
fuel the flame of
wistfulness

our world of perfect glass

mirrors and windows

we see out
we see in

we reflect

but
crack
chip or
 puncture perfection

see beyond
see under
see behind

see through

more than I wish to see

then we are
distorted
broken
