waves of autumn winds
tidal rains scourge
a sea of leaves
NOTES
Today was a wild day of strong winds and rain...
And autumn colours fell in torrents...
The photo shows a patch of strewn colour just near my front step...
I thought, after the April stampede, I was all puffed out of poetry,
but this wild day needed a poetic note...

Your words, So beautiful... as is your photo!
I visited via Magaly's blog, We have no autumn colours here in Queensland, I love the gnome looking over the colourful treasure at his feet, gorgeous :)
Lovely images, in words and picture – and your notes form another poem!
Two poems! Nicely done. This weather is full of surprises.
That moment when they fall
it is what leaves
in fall, and not what stays.
Send them to me, I need the compost!
I think you regained your poetic puff - a luscious mix of colour, image and word...
Beautiful!!!
The photo is fabulous, Gemma, simply fabulous! And the haiku is a sobering reminder that nothing, not even the endearing beauty of autumn, lasts forever.
A sea of leaves often makes a beautiful autumn. A colorful haiku!
Amazing what one moment in nature can render....fabulous!
Very beautiful, photo and words.....I love fall, my fave time of year.
I love the colours in the photo - your gnome looks like he has quite a bit of work on his hands.
Your poetic autumnal note, along with the picture are absolutely beautiful.
