the time will come
you will love
the special you
unfurling
I am not
in our streets we wandered yesterday
I am not the door
the window
that was our home
I am not the chair
that devotedly sat beside you
I am not the pillow
that shared our love
for I am not there
you are not there
as we were
we have moved on
into higher realms
for now
we
are
you
we are
your door
your window
the streets you walk
your pillow
for you take me there
smile
for the mirror
and you will see me
smile
the time will come
you will love
unfurling
for Rosemary...

Wow! Thank you, Gemma. This made me smile and cry at the sam time - in the best possible way. I treasure it!
How beautiful this is, Gemma.
"the time will come you will love unfurling" - absolutely!
Beautiful. A lot of love and loss in one poem. Made me emotional.
unfurling- love the feel on my tongue, the image it evokes, how it embodies the tendness here.
beautiful. i like how it flows, and the ending is lovely. i also like the photograph.
pretty cool message in your verse....for me it made me think of learning to love yourself before you can really love others...it could be about loss...or even finding yourself again after and learning love again...easy to feel though...smiles.
This is so lovely...

Let us hope so!
How wonderfully you depict the furling and unfurling in this poem, there and not there, but seeing the smile and showing your own. Marvelous poetry. From the heart.
So beautiful..I can feel the care and heart in this...
