Our Glass...

our world of perfect glass

mirrors and windows

we see out
we see in

we reflect

but
crack
chip or
 puncture perfection

see beyond
see under
see behind

see through

more than I wish to see

then we are
distorted
broken

jus' sayin'
not really believin'
jus' sayin'

Indeed sometimes when the glass is broken we CAN see more than we wish to see. Sometimes we prefer NOT to know.......

it is a whole other thing to see through what is reflected in the glass...or under...or let it get a crack and see if it all doesnt come tumbling down...

what an interesting way to look at/though the glass

Where is the Food when mother is not?

We see beyond - Life is all about perspectives and the light we let shine into our lives. This is very good and has real hidden depths, the more you read it the powerful it becomes.

this is wonderful and a reminder to not throw stones, beware the glass

Oh yes, it can be so many things, literally and metaphorically.

Very clever! I love how you played with the perspectives, a crack can show much more..just sayin:-) Nicely done!

The difficulty to believe in anything, as we are so very fragile.

Beauty (vision?) is in the eye of the beholder..am wondering how a blind person would perceive this..would depend on whether they ever had sight or not..many levels in this poem ;_)

A unique response to the prompt! A totally different way to see.
"Jus' sayin'" --- a unique conclusion, too. I really enjoyed this.

So true... beautiful poem.

So ... it's all just smoke and mirrors ... and the looking becomes an exercise in truth-seeking ... damn, life is never as simple as rolling out of bed and looking in the mirror with your toothbrush in hand ...

Seeing more then we want to see is really true so much of the time. When the security glass is broken then we feel maybe that others see to much.

Ah yes, seeing more than one wants to see or know--glasses of perfection are so much easier to deal with!
